This cocktail making and tasting event is an intriguing insight into the world of the professional cocktail barman. Participants learn some of the precise skills of the mixologist and the show culminates in a competition to find the best new cocktail. There are 3 principal parts to Swizzle.
1.Introducing the spirits
Comparative tasting of base ingredients. Introduction to the techniques. The core spirits and ingredients. Practicing the techniques.
2.Mixology
Gain familiarity with core spirits, garnishes and mixes. Creating cocktails with both aesthetics and taste in mind. Share knowledge and work as a team to create a new cocktail.
3.Team competition
Assessing group progress. Demonstration of individual's new skills. Promotion of competitive spirit between the teams.
The program may be lengthened or shortened by adding or removing modules. Remember, participants need no prior experience in mixing cocktails, only a willingness to get stuck in!
